A Cave for Cats Who Like to Hide

Cats sleep differently from dogs. They look for cover, somewhere with walls and a roof, where they can watch the room without being in the middle of it. An open flat bed rarely gets used. A covered one usually does.

The shell shape here gives that cover while leaving the opening wide enough that your cat never feels trapped, which is the mistake most fully enclosed beds make. The plush fabric holds warmth in winter but stays breathable enough for summer, so the bed keeps getting used through the year rather than being packed away.

The structure holds its shape rather than collapsing after the first few washes, and four sizes cover kittens through to large cats. If you have more than one cat, size up, because they will share it.

Common Questions

My cat ignores every bed I buy. Will this be different?

Covered beds tend to work better than open ones because they match how cats naturally choose a resting spot. Placing it somewhere quiet and slightly elevated helps.

Which size should I choose?

The 40 cm suits kittens and small cats. Most adult cats are comfortable at 50 or 60 cm. Choose 80 cm for large breeds or for two cats who share.

Is it too warm for summer?

The plush is breathable and the opening is wide, so air moves through. Cats who overheat tend to sleep on top of it rather than inside, which it also handles.
