The problem with most toys is that they only move when you move them. This one starts itself. A touch wakes it, it jumps and changes direction on its own, and your cat or dog chases something that behaves unpredictably rather than a ball lying still on the floor.

A full charge takes around two hours and gives roughly four hours of play, which is several sessions rather than one. After five minutes without interaction it goes to sleep instead of running the battery flat in a corner, and a touch wakes it again.

The shell is ABS with a soft silicone anti slip ring, so it grips enough to move properly on hard floors rather than skidding. It carries an IP54 water resistance rating, which covers splashes and a quick rinse, and the battery has protection against overcharging, over discharging and short circuits.

One important limit: it is built for dogs of 15 kg or less and for cats. It is not suitable for large dogs or heavy chewers.

Common Questions

Is it safe for my dog to chew?

It is not designed for heavy chewing and no standardised bite testing has been carried out on it. Supervise play and take it away if your pet treats it as a chew toy rather than something to chase.

Will it wake up on its own in the middle of the night?

No. It sleeps after five minutes of inactivity and only wakes when touched.

Can I replace the battery?

No, the lithium polymer battery is built in and not user replaceable.
